I know that this discussion is from two years ago, but I came across it and wanted to give my opinion. For our digestive systems to work properly it needs to a delicate balance. Many of the products we consume are acidic which over time can change the ph ratio in our system. Tap water is by law required to have a ph of 7 (considered neutral), however most water needs to have LYE added to it to give it this ph. Luckily, filters like brita remove it along with lots of other gunk. Unluckily, this means that in most cities your filtered water is now on the acidic side of the ph scale. Add that to all the other acidic things we put in our body (soda, citrus, alcohol, etc) and our body is fighting a losing battle. All Kagen water does is help your body rebalance its natural chemistry. If you consumed a perfect diet, were exposed to no environmental toxins, and drank well or spring water instead of processed tap water, then drinking alkeline water would probably not contribute any noticeable improvement. Whether or not it will help you depends greatly on your lifestyle.

I thought it was hogwash..My friend has been letting me have some of her Kangen water for about 3 weeks, and I have to say, I don't know what it does, but it is the best tasting water I have ever had. I can drink almost a gallon a day. I CAN NOT drink tap water.. Taste like garbage and I do not ever recommend anyone drinking tap water. There are so many added things to it so that it doesn't grow bacteria, etc...Not to mention there is chlorine in it and when taking a shower, it vaporizes the chlorine into the air. My son has bad asthma and can't be in the room. If nothing else, buy a cheap filter and put on all of your showers and faucets to filter out the junk....Find someone who has a machine and try the water for a month or so... They love giving out the free water, and hey, I'll take it!! Good luck!!

Sounds like another fad just like Dylan up there spamming that berry crap.

(did you know most brands of so called "Spring water" or bottled water are often nothing more than filtered tap water)

It's all rubbish. Water molecules are H2O, that is 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 Oxygen atom, therefore they are all the same size.

However, drinking plenty of water does keep you hydrated, more alert and feeling better. It also fills your belly and makes you less likely to feel like filling it with food. Actually, research has shown that half the time when we think we are hungry, we are actually thirsty and are chasing water, not food.

So water will help us feel better and live longer, but tap water will do just as good a job as some ridiculously priced bottled stuff. In fact, Kangen is probaly just well marketed tap water anyway.
