It’s a severe misunderstanding that the SD-501 unit costs more due to being part of a network marketing pay plan. This can only be believed by those not aware of the extremely costly process of paying countless middle men and advertising costs for the avg product…
These are the same costs that would be incurred to hire sales staff, etc… this machine being manufacturer-direct-to-consumer leaves larger commissions available to the marketer than would be if through a retailer.
To PiercingKnight; The Enagic SD501 is an ionizer, not a filter. It is important to pre-filter source water properly. That being said, the Enagic unit disassembles the contaminants you discuss through complete electrolysis (which other machines cannot accomplish). For instance, Sodium Fluoride (NaF) is ripped apart by the strong electric charge into its original harmless components, sodium and fluorine.
Where I live, a lot of fluoride is used in tap water. Studies also show that in the U.S. there about 56 different medication types present in the water, such as prosac, birth control, sex hormones, and other psychotic medications. Now they are talking about adding lithium as well. Does kangen machine filter the flouride and the medications out of the tap water? If it does, how does it do it? If it does not there is no point in using it.
Fantastic Frank, you’re way off base with your assumptions. There is no other machine made as well as the Enagic SD501. They take no shortcuts. When you study electrolysis, you’ll understand why they’re the only ones that do it right. Also, don’t be confused by “MLM”. Enagic’s unique plan is very fair and is not traditional MLM. The cost is higher due to the higher quality and quantity of materials. Other cheaper machines actually have higher percentage mark-ups.
I turned 28 Dec 5th. I drank my 1st bit of Kangen for the 1st time yesterday. I wont even say what its doing, and how stupid I feel for not finding this before now, because anyone who doesnt try it is simply not going to belive it. HI, we got an ENAGIC 501 machine and my wife and son use the 2.5 for such things as skin tags, acne… my son had a boil and spryed it with 2.5. It was gone the next day. AMAZING STUFF TOPICALLY with the 2.5 and 5.5. But even MORE importantly is the DRINKING PHs it produces! hi I agree with all of the benefits of the alkalne energized water.
That said I have a challenge with how its being marketed through a MLM plan which means to me that I am paying about $1500 more for the unit from Engacic when I can buy a better unit from Tyvent There are some other benefits too which if you are curious about do the research your self ..
But why pay for an upline if you don’t have to ..
So please be aware of this as well as other features too before you buy anything.
I have to second all these positive comments. I purchased my machine a few months ago. I am 70 years old, and feel like I am forty again. Acid reflux which had terroized me for years, is gone forever. Thank you Enagic for making this machine. I hope all my friends, family and neighbors will get the machine.

Most people blame the cost of the machine because of the network marketing system where distributors override and make a commission.
They don’t stop to think that almost all the stuff that are endorsed by celebrities are paid for added to the cost of the product.
Good example is the boxer Floyd Mayweather wearing a branded sports shirt for one week and getting paid for over a million dollar.
Who do they think is gonna shoulder the cost?
A Nike shoes that’s manufactured in Asia for a couple dollars a pair is being sold elsewhere (in developing countries) for close to hundred dollars or even more…to pay the endorsement of celebrities.
I’d rather give my money to the hard working distributors than to a celebrity who is already enjoying their multi-million dollar earnings.
Not that I don’t like the idea…celebrities are not guilty, that’s just how the market behaves.
I guess they deserve what they’re paid for!
But bashing the little guys for a meager earnings is pathetic at best!
