The Wise Man asked:
I saw a water ionizer for sale that looked like a water filter that ran on electric and hooked up to a sink faucet… How do I ionize my own water without having to by the expensive ionizer? How dose this thing work ? What do i have to do to the water?

i don’t think it makes water healthier.
tap water already has ions in it. things like salt break into positive and negative ions. are you sure you’re not thinking of a water deionizer.
it kind of sounds like a scam.

What they call ionizing water is really just electrolysis.
What electrolysis does is induce a reaction that wouldn’t normally occur by making water, or H2O (that is 2 hydrogen atoms bonded to an oxygen atom) reduce back into it’s constituent parts, or hydrogen gas and oxygen gas.
The gas just escapes, and the entire process of ‘ionization’ is a load of rubbish designed to manipulate you into giving money away for a piece of junk.
And anyway what they are intending to infer by the process is wrong anyway, because water does not ionize.
Look I’m not going to go into the science behind it because there isn’t really a point, I’m just going to say that you can’t ionize water. Water is water; you can’t have a healthier H2O, H2O is H2O. There is no difference.
It is essentially a con, trying to take your money.
If you are really concerned about the water you drink, buy a FILTER, not some overpriced electrolysis machine.
All the machine does is pass about 7V of electricity through the water which causes water to turn into oxygen and hydrogen.
The entire process is pointless in terms of making ‘healthier’ water.
Just don’t buy an ionizer ok, it’s a scam!
